Stratos Global Corporation, the leading global provider of advanced mobile and fixed-site remote communications solutions, today announced it has entered into a new strategic sales agreement with its largest maritime channel partner Navarino Telecom. The agreement enables Navarino to assume responsibility for sales of Stratos products and services to maritime companies in Norway, Finland, Sweden and Iceland.  
 
By enabling Navarino to assume control of Nordic maritime sales, the agreement strengthens Stratos’ presence in that key geographic region. The agreement is also expected to help Navarino expand its customer base, as Nordic maritime companies can now use Navarino as a single source for maritime satellite communications equipment and Stratos’ industry-leading value-added services.  
 
Stratos is the largest supplier of mobile satellite services to the maritime industry, serving more than 40,000 maritime terminals worldwide. For many years, Navarino has served as Stratos’ largest distributor in the important maritime vertical market. Navarino serves more than 450 shipping companies, including some the largest merchant fleets worldwide, and is currently spread across 14 countries.  
When Stratos acquired 49 percent of Navarino in 2005, Navarino entered into an exclusive distribution agreement to acquire all Inmarsat and Iridium services solely from Stratos.
