This unique service offers the crew members the ability to send and receive inexpensive SMS and short e-mail messages globally by using Crew Mail scratch cards. Furthermore, this service enables the seafarers to:

• Send SMS (max 160 characters) and Internet e-mails (max 460 characters) by deducting   from the card only one unit per message. The Crew Mail scratch cards have 60 units.
• Receive SMS and Internet e-mails globally at no charge to crew.
• Set up individual accounts, address books and mailboxes.
• Reload the prepaid card.

One of the basic advantages of Crew Mail is that because this service is easy to install with simple onboard registration there is no involvement by ship's officers. Only a specialized Stratos text pad which connects to vessel's PC is required.
